ABOUT

Sound designer and composer, he possesses a strong background in audio post-production that encompasses a wide range of areas, including audiovisual, performing arts, and various multimedia projects. Over the years, he has created a diverse array of original soundscapes and intricate musical scores for short films, insightful documentaries, captivating installations, and theatrical productions. His work is particularly notable for its artistic sensitivity, coupled with a remarkable attention to technical precision, allowing him to elevate each project he engages with to new heights.

As a sound designer, film composer, and mixer, his extensive body of work has been prominently featured on popular streaming platforms such as Netflix, Paramount+, HBO, and Al Jazeera, while also being showcased at numerous prestigious international film festivals across the globe.

Raúl has collaborated as a sound designer on various theatrical productions in Madrid, bringing his creative and technical vision to the performing arts. His recent work includes Noticias Locales (Asociación de Mujeres en las Artes Escénicas de Madrid, Sociedad Cervantina, 2025), To Play or Not to Play (Galería Casa Madre, 2024), and Antígona: Busca del Otro Lado del Atlántico (Umbral de Primavera, 2024). He also designed the sound for productions such as No he venido a traer el odio sino el amor and Atemporal (Nave 73, Dramactual), as well as several university productions at UC3M, including ¿Cómo te tengo que llamar?, Conversión, and Regresa, Mayela.

Raúl has worked with institutions such as CONARTE and the Ministry of Culture of Nuevo León, coordinating impactful cultural projects that integrated strategies and content designed to foster community engagement and promote contemporary art. 

In the field of academia, he serves as a dedicated faculty member at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he actively teaches in the Technology and Music Production program. Throughout his career, he has not only designed but also implemented various educational programs in specialized areas such as audio for video games, sound design, audio post-production, and audio programming. His efforts have significantly contributed to the development of highly skilled professionals in the realm of digital audio. Through his interdisciplinary approach, he effectively blends creativity, cultural management, and cutting-edge technology, fostering an environment of innovation and learning.
